Friendship

Friendship is a very important part of my life. Sometimes I can go a
little overboard with my opinion that you do anything for a friend, and I think I do that
because there are times when I think"why do they put up with me?".
There are many people I consider to be my friends, but the very special ones are on this
page.

Let's start with Heather. I'll admit right here and now that I am
not an outgoing person. My fear of rejection often stops me from making friends, but
that wasn't the case with Heather. The day she started working at "The
Plant" I decided that I was going be her friend. Somehow I
managed it even with my backwards personality. She's amazing. What more can I
say. We work, shop, party, go camping together. I can't imagine what life
would be like without her friendship.
Heather got married to Frank on July 19th, 1997. Frank is awesome. He will help you
with anything from fixing cars to building fences. Now if I could just get him to stop
calling me KFC. Long story behind that one and NO I am not going to tell it.

Now let's move on to Diana.
She may be tiny, but boy is she tough. Rod and I met Del and Di just before they
married on June 17th, 1995. She was one of my major life lines when I started at the
plant. If it hadn't been for her, I doubt I would still be hanging in there.
Del and Di moved about an hour from our place, but we still try to see each other and even
managed a five day camping trip last summer. They have the most adorable well
behaved baby I have ever seen. Spencer Christian. Hi guys!!!! Miss you.

Now there's Philip. The friend next door.
Well next door isn't exactly right. He lives a mile up the road from us.
I used to baby-sit him. That's not an easy thing to admit. It
makes me feel old. Anyway, he's a great guy. He's great with my kids, watches
Oiler's games with Rod, and brightens my day when he stops in to chat for a while.
And he's intelligent too. He likes my car. We had a blast New Year's Eve 2000
and hopefully we can party together again soon. See that hat he's wearing?
It's an Edmonton Oiler's hat. I want his hat.
